Engraving
A process in which type or art is etched or cut below the surface of a metal plate. Ink fills the intaglio (cut) area and under high pressure renders on paper a precise image of the etched area producing a distinctive look and feel of quality. The resulting clarity, depth and character of an engraved image is unsurpassed. More info on Engraving

Offset Printing
Often called "flat printing" or "lithography" this commonly used method deposits an inked image from a printing plate to an intermediary cylinder called a blanket, which, in turn, transfers the image to paper. More info on Offset Printing
-
Perma Raised Printing
A "Permanent" variation to "Thermography" - a printing process which applies a resin powder to still wet ink. Under high heat the resin causes the ink to expand, resulting in an attractive "Raised" effect. In order to protect, or "fix" the image when exposed to subsequent heat, as in laser printers, special resin and UV light are used. More info on Perma Raised Printing
-
Foil Stamping
A process by which foil is adhered to paper either in a flat image (Foil Stamping) or in a raised image (Foil Embossing). More info on Foil Stamping
-
Blind Embossing
A non-inked process by which a metal die is used under pressure, and often heat, to impress paper either above its surface (Embossing) or below its surface (Debossing). More info on Blind Embossing
