Werner Printing History
Werner Printing is proud to be an independent, third generation family owned business. The company was started as a letterpress shop in 1921 by Robert M. Werner and his brother-in-law John Isaacs. In 1958, Lou Werner started working at the company and took over in 1980. Ownership and day-to-day management was passed to his son Robert Werner in 2011.
Over the years, the company has successfully acquired 6 respected competitors. The company has grown to occupy over 60,000 square feet of space and is conveniently located in Chicago’s thriving west Loop. The company is one of the Midwest’s leading manufacturers of printed and engraved materials.
The growth of the company has been a result of the Werner commitment to provide a quality product in a timely and cost effective manner. Moreover, the company is unique in their broad scope of capabilities. Werner Printing and Engraving is one of the few companies in the United States that can produce “in-house”; an ability which allows them to tightly control both quality and scheduling.
